KINGSTON EATING WITH FRIENDS
 
‘Eating with Friends aims to address issues of social isolation among older people by working with communities and volunteer groups to provide regular affordable meals’.   Kingston's Eating with Friends program involves students from Kingston High School preparing and serving meals to older people in the community. 

The students get to enjoy the intergenerational contact whilst contributing to the design and creation of a nutritionally based menu while the older participants, who also enjoy the intergenerational contact, enjoy a beautiful meal in a comfortable and accessible venue St Clements Church 100 Beach Road, Kingston.

2010 Dates are:

WOODBRIDGE EATING WITH FRIENDS

West Winds started several years ago with a Sunday luncheon, this became rather large and now they choose to eat out at local cafe's and hotels in the Channel area.  Visiting up to 10 local businesses from Margate to Birch's Bay every year with a special Christmas lunch at the Mermaid Cafe in Kettering.

TAROONA EATING WITH FRIENDS

Would you like to meet some new people?

Would you like to share a delicious and nutritious meal with others?

If you have answered YES! to these questions, then Eating with Friends may be for you. 

Taroona High School’s food technology Teachers Carol Ingram and Julie Mansfield will coordinate their Year 9 and 10 students to plan, cook and serve a three course meal to local seniors.   Operating out of the Taroona High School the Teachers and students will be running sessions later this year when the refurbishment of the School is completed.
