SING AUSTRALIA – “Connecting Australians in Singing”
Sing Australia is a national network of close to 140 singing groups spread throughout Australia, including eight in Tasmania. We encourage everyone to sing regardless of age, singing experience or voice type. There are no auditions, no requirements to read music or compulsory attendance. We promote the joy of singing through performances and sing-alongs. Our focus is on fun, friendship and providing support to our local communities.
We sing a wide range of songs in various styles including folk, pop, musicals, sacred music, opera, and many Australian songs. New members welcome.
We sing monthly at nursing homes/hostels from Franklin to Hobart and enjoy singing at events with Sing Australia Hobart and Sorell group at venues such as St. David’s Cathedral, Runnymede and Salamanca. Being part of the Community is also important to us and we welcome any opportunity to be involved in any Community based events in Kingborough.
Sing Australia offers singing fun for everyone, performance opportunities, national gatherings and tours across Australia and overseas. New members are always welcome. Come along and put a song in your heart today. Want to know more??
